My toddler son loves Walter Wind.... each night we have a lengthy debate about which one will be read to him. We have to limit him to one or we might never get to bed!

It is so nice to hear from the children who have enjoyed my stories--the Walter Wind Series, Cool Blues and Tessy, The Teapot That Couldn't Drip.

I look forward to hearing from you.

My next book, "Tessy, The Teapot That Couldn't Drip," is now at the illustrators. Patience . . . we don't want to rush the illustrator.

Hello, Liz, It is great to hear you are waiting for my next Children's Book. "Tessy, The Little Teapot That Couldn't Drip" is at the illustrators. I am not too sure how long she will take. There are a lot of drawings in this book. Patience . . .

A review posted on Facebook, December 27, 2014 from Lana Gale of British Columbia. " My son absolutely loves Joan Daulby's Walter Wind Books! His latest signed copy was a huge hit!"

I would like to share a review I received yesterday via email for Walter Wind and Red Hat, a story about bullying. "We had to put the young ones to bed and promised to read the book tomorrow, but then Shaylee and I snuck off to get our preview and read the story together. I Loved it!! Joan you discussed a very important subject in a gentle, meaningful way without ever getting scary or preachy. Such a sweet work of art! Thank you so much for sharing your gift!" I have been looking at your site once again and enjoy it very much. Looking forward to getting your newest book "Red Hat" and am glad it will be available well before Christmas as I have 5 grandchildren who have enjoyed your previous books. They will be getting this new book for Christmas.

I have 3 kids (ages 7, 5, and 3). I love Joan's books! The stories are simple and entertaining enough to hold interest with some nice layers of education and ideas to get kids thinking about bigger issues. Enough substance that we enjoy reading them over and over. I get excited when I find an author who writes wholesome, educational, creative and fun stories for curious kids! Thank you Joan!

Nicole, you asked, "Where have the dinosaurs gone?" Well, their creator has been busy working on her book. You are right. I should let all my readers know what's happening with the dinosaurs. I have been selfishly keeping their tours of the country to myself. I will have to let the rest of you know how they are doing. Joan [/joan daulby]

Thanks for your comments, Bob, I have enjoyed writing my children's books. They make me smile and it has been an even greater reward to be able to read them to children. I will be reading at a school in January and am really looking forward to it. With this message, I guess you were able to get your new purchase from Costco yesterday up and running. Have a wonderful trip to Florida and enjoy the Vitamin D in your Sunshine!! Regards, Joan

Hi, Lisa, I have started to expand the story From a Distance. However, it was really meant to end where it is. If so many readers hadn't asked for more, I probably would have left it. But, what an I do? You have asked for more, so I will see what I can do.\ Joan
